Partial Crowns

If caries destroyed the tooth to an extent that a filling can not restore its form and function, a partial crown can be used. Two types of partial crowns are to differenciate:

+All-ceramic crowns
Even destroyed teeth with little dental substance left can be restored aestethically with a partial crown. Only the chewing surface and the defects are reconstructed with ceramic, which means it is not necessary to grind off any additional dental substance. To ensure a secure attachment, the verge should not be deep underneath the gingival line.
+Gold partail crowns
Thanks to an easier fastening system it is possible to fix defects that go under the gingival line with gold partial crowns. Since the teeth are pysicaly set by the gold partial crown, the gold is visible on the surface facing the cheek.
